Position Summary
eX² Technology is seeking an Application Engineer / Construction Supervisor for a hybrid technical and field leadership role responsible for bridging engineering design, application development and construction execution. This position ensures that engineered solutions are properly designed, deployed and constructed in accordance with project specifications, schedules, budgets and quality standards. The role serves as the technical authority for system applications while providing on-site supervision and coordination of construction activities.

Roles & Responsibilities
Design, configure and support technical systems and applications used in telecommunications construction, infrastructure or industrial environments
Serve as the technical subject matter expert for system architecture, integration and performance
Translate customer and project requirements into engineering solutions and construction-ready designs
Develop drawings, specifications, documentation and installation standards
Support project engineering, commissioning, testing and system acceptance
Provide technical guidance to construction teams, subcontractors and field technicians
Interface with clients, vendors and design teams to ensure solution alignment
Design, implement and maintain secure, high-availability network infrastructures
Configure, troubleshoot and optimize routers, switches, firewalls and wireless controllers
Conduct root cause analysis for network performance or security issues
Document network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience in related technical field.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in engineering, systems integration, telecommunications construction supervision or related roles
Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and field execution
Experience with technical systems, applications, or infrastructure deployments
Familiarity with optical power budgets, attenuation, dispersion and wavelength allocation
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to interpret and develop technical drawings, equipment layouts and system diagrams
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on reliability, scalability and performance
Willingness to travel and work on active construction sites
Physical Requirements

Salary
$85,000 - $100,000 annually
